F-35s coming to Green Bay

The Wisconsin Air National Guard's 115th Fighter Wing at Truax Field in Madison is sending four F-35 jets to Green Bay's Austin Straubel International Airport for training exercises.

The F-35s will arrive on Monday, July 24, and will depart on Friday, July 28. During their stay, the jets will be conducting training exercises over Lake Michigan and central Wisconsin.

Flyovers at Lambeau Field and Camp Randall Stadium

In addition to the training exercises, the F-35s will also be conducting flyovers at Lambeau Field and Camp Randall Stadium.

The flyover at Lambeau Field will take place on Tuesday, July 25, at approximately 6:00 p.m. The flyover at Camp Randall Stadium will take place on Wednesday, July 26, at approximately 6:00 p.m.

What to expect during the training exercises

During the training exercises, the F-35s will be flying at low altitudes and high speeds.

Residents in the area may hear sonic booms, which are caused by the aircraft exceeding the speed of sound.

The Wisconsin Air National Guard asks that residents not be alarmed by the noise and to stay away from the aircraft.
